Bailey Storms is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Ranging from printmaking, painting and photography to design and art direction, her eclectic practice focuses on nostalgia and the ephemerality of personal memory. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, her creative process is deeply impacted by the American South, focusing on themes of identity, grief, and dispossession. Her work aims to evoke a sense of hiraeth in the viewer.

Her style uses a combination of analog formats from the 80's to early 2000's (including camera's from the artist's own family and childhood), and has evolved from a wish to create images and objects that contrast the present with our recent cultural past. The formal elements of the work allude to the artist's personal memory while stimulating questions about the complexities of dreams, sense of self, and our intertwined futures.
